Jolla is actively looking for new investors to lower the dependency on the russian telco Rostelekom, which is mostly state owned. I guess with this development, the future of Jolla and hence of SailfishOS doesn't look exactly bright currently.

So, I finally gave in and re-installed #sailfishos on my XPeria XA2. Unsurprisingly, everything works again now. Now, I just have to restore my data and lots of applications. But at least, I can play and hear media, Android apps are working and I can finally lock my phone again. sigh
Updated my phone to the latest SailfishOS version and now AlienDavlik apparently doesn't like me anymore. I mean, it's not I rely heavily on any Android apps, but the Corona passport app is rather important. sigh #sailfishos
That Jolla hits profitability after roughly ten years can probably be considered a good sign for the future of #sailfishos. https://techcrunch.com/2021/08/25/jolla-hits-profitability-ahead-of-turning-ten-eyes-growth-beyond-mobile/ #jolla
Wah, Syncthing's web UI is really not usable on a Sony XPeria XA2 with SailfishOS. Hitting buttons mostly does nothing, once you start typing in a field it's near impossible to close the keyboard and of course then the next input fields or buttons below are hidden and not reachable at all. What a disaster of a UI. Not sure if this is mostly the fault of the web UI or of the super-old Gecko engine that Sailfish is using, probably a combination of both.
Given that Whisperfish is only a 0.6 beta release, it's looking like a promising Signal client for #sailfishos.
#sailfishos 3.4 is now available, which is a pretty huge upgrade.
Hah, fixed the #sailfishos doesn't boot issue on my Sony XPeria XA2, with the help of the together forum. I had installed the (adblock) defender app from openrepos and apparently this is causing such problems. The post below explains how to use chroot (and rpm) to remove the app from the recovery mode, which afterwards just boots fine. Yay! \o/ 🧚♂️
After (fast-)booting into recovery mode, it looks like the filesystem has a problem:
/dev/mmcblk0rpmb: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 0: Input/output error
/dev/mmcblk0rpmb: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 4128768: Input/output error
/dev/mmcblk0rpmb: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 4186112: Input/output error
/dev/mmcblk0rpmb: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 4096: Input/output error
So, the only option I have left is to reset the device to factory state and then start over from scratch installing #sailfishos. Sigh
Jolla is opening up a new forum (based on discourse) to support all things #sailfishos https://blog.jolla.com/new-forum-for-sailfish-os-discussion/
So, finally starting the move from Android 9 to SailfishOS on the XPeria XA2. Let's see if this time the device is lasting longer. #sailfishos
A new update for #sailfishos is available. Good news, I already started to worry that Jolla might be in trouble again in these insecure times.
There are many internal technical changes discussed. The main interesting user visible changes for me is the support of #nextcloud accounts, including backups, calendar and more.

Yay, the problem on my SailfishX with Android unable to see the mobile connection is solved : https://together.jolla.com/question/209532/track-down-mobile-data-issue-android-xa2-310/
Turned out to be a provider specific issue (o2). #sailfishos
