I'm happy to see more and more libraries and framework going toward (architecturally and conceptually speaking). I'm confident on my choice for my side projects.

Using only the libpq bindings in with the binary library is awesome. You're more powerful than with , and closer to the binary data representation. Overall, it's easier to use, and to maintain.

Combined with a great feeling while programming in .

After years working with Python, I'm astonished to observe I am more efficient with , just after ~6months learning this language.

Let's try a little #introduction to start things off:

#hello, I'm Thomas.

Software dev currently particularly enamored with #Rust and #Haskell, trying to dive ever deeper into the functional and theoretical ends of the pool.

I want to start writing and talking about programming, so I'll try and use this as a little outlet to set me on the right path.

Keyboard customizer, Oxford comma proponent, and all-round good guy.

Maybe I'll actually manage to rack up some posts this time around?

Piece of cake to implement a cache with for a website, with a STM TVar and HashMap. Performance greatly improved with (almost) no effort.

The Optics monad in Haskell are just Great! It's a blast to work with lenses/prisms with lens-aeson and aeson. And still in pure functional programming

Found after couple of hours that "SELECT my_func()" and "SELECT * FROM my_func()" differs. One is returning records as one column, the other multi columns.

A message from our Tech Team:

Many of #InfoSec folk here on #Fediverse have boosted and favourited our toot about Security Analyst position we have open -- thank you!

And yet we have not received a lot of applications so far.

Don't be shy. Don't let the Impostor Syndrome get to you. You don't need a diploma or dozens of certificates to apply. You won't be wasting our time.

We're hackers like you. We need you.

Some thread with for the API + other thread with Servant for the monitoring API (/metrics) + STM for the shared variables + = <3 I monitor my in live, do some async action, and it scales perfectly :)
