I've just created a nice dark theme. It is called "stock defaults for dark background" and looks amazingly nice.

(set-face-attribute 'default nil :background "gray5" :foreground "gainsboro")
(set-face-attribute 'mode-line nil :background "gray15" :foreground "gainsboro")

Have you seen modus-themes?
Your theme looks somewhat similar to modus-vivendi.
I like it!

Indeed, it looks quite similar to the Modus Vivendi Theme. I didn't know it but I like it.

My post was more of a joke. I just wanted to show that the standard emacs faces look quite nice with a dark background (i.e., no theme at all).

You should actully try modus vivendi it's really great with a lot of modes supported.
And yes, standard emacs on dark background looks good. 👍
