Why I don't say "Ciao"
@kmicu Well, I'm Italian and I was born and actually live in what once was called the Republic of Venice (I live in Vicenza). We still use the venetian dialect daily, even in business meetings sometimes. Take account that in our dialect most of the time the letters "l" and "v" are mute, so we write "sciavo" but it's pronounced "sciao".
