i struggle with me switching to #netbsd or #openbsd any suggestions. i'm currently running #slackware.
@amiloradovsky yeah i know but i don't know if i'm willing to switch to a bsd. i like these systems but i don't know. i guess it's a struggle about convinience

You don't have to "switch" to one of those right away, you can try them in a VM, e.g. Qemu, or on a spare physical machine, and decide whether you like it or not.
Generally speaking, these systems are more conservative, there are very few changes performed over time, and they're written by more experienced people. The drawback is that there are also very few "paper based" innovations and less of the modern hardware is supported.

What are you struggling with? Unlike, say, Arch, those are quite predictable — they either work with your hardware, or they don't. (Unlike e.g. Arch, for which this is changing on every upgrade…)
