For some time now, I and a friend have been working on a messaging application called Potato. It's essentially an open-source, self-hosted version of Slack.

The server part is quite stable and fast, and has been in production for some time.

The web interface is currently quite bad, and I'm really terrible at web design. If anyone wants to help out bringing this project to a point where it can be used by non-technical people, web-design help would be gladly accepted.

@loke Is your contact info there? I can't promise anything ATM, but I used to do web stuff. I could at least take a look and make some recommendations.

Elias Mårtenson @loke

@Qwyrdo It should be. If it isn't, I'll add it. I'm also "loke" on Keybase.

Thanks a lot for your offer. Given the number of project I wish I had time to contribute to, please understand that I don't expect anything. Please have a look at your own leisure, and if you have any questions how it works, please let me know.

The build environment is a bit unusual, given the fact that the server is written in Lisp, but the web side is really just templated HTML pages.
