Also, VSCode not following PEP8 rules automatically (as Vim/NeoVim does) is annoying as fuck.
I've been using Copilot for our projects, mostly to complete single lines.
It's weird how close to what I need and how completely wrong it gets most of the time.
I've seen it autocomplete a variable name (constant) pretty close to what I needed, but it was wrong in a subtle way that didn't produce an exception, but didn't do what I expected either.
I can already see:
A stranger stops in front of you. They pick their backpack and open it. They take the Steamdeck out of it and shove it in your face.
"IT RUNS ARCH, BTW"
Also, it doesn't seem to have HDMI connection, but you can have it with the dock.
... but the controllers are not detachable, so... how do you play with it in the dock?
A Silicon Valley VC-funded startup succeeds or fails based on how fast it can grow. At the start, it needs YOU to grow. It will put its best face forward and promise to be nice. Once it has grown enough and it no longer needs you (see: network effects), you have little to no power to affect its behaviour. That’s when you get screwed. Maybe not all at once (see: slowly-boiling frogs) but eventually, sure enough.
So exercise your power when you have it. At the start. By looking the other way.
(Not complaining, though. We finally managed to get out of some sticky situation and we have some air to breath now...)
