Love doing open source software! So fulfilling! Users so grateful!
@thurloat
Right, who cares about all the time you've spent on the development, when *I* have just spent *my* time on trying it out and it didn't work well!
@cypnk
This may be the reason why the disclaimer is present in all popular #FLOSS licenses and is written in ALL CAPS.
Actually, this is the rhetoric, proprietary software apologists used for decades: don't even try to use any "open source", it won't work anyway most of the time and you'll just waste your time — all the speech about "hidden costs" y'know, as if it had something to do with the availability of the sources and #copyright.
@thurloat
@amiloradovsky @thurloat I've seen that done too, but that's backfired occasionally with even more vitriol
And that also takes mental energy to do, which after reading something like that, some folks may not have anymore 😖

An adequate response may be the link to the "enterprise" (very stable, but very outdated) version of the same s/w.
