Does the lack of an address make the machine inaccessible from the stubborn 's, which still do not provide an address (e.g. mobile)?

@amiloradovsky Are you asking for a way to connect to IPv6-only site from an IPv4-only machine? A way to connect to a machine that lacks a white IPv4 address? Something else entirely?

@minoru
I have a with only an IPv6 address(es) assigned to the interface(s). — I'm wondering whether I should additionally pay for an IPv4 address(es) or not.
Maybe the ISP's do provide a mechanisms to access, say, IPv6-only sites? Or there are no (ways to access) such sites…

@amiloradovsky Oh. AFAIK ISPs don't provide such service---users will have to use tunnels or 6to4 in order to access your site.

@minoru
So there must be the entire slice of the Internet hidden from the users of such an ISP's — what a pity!

@minoru
P.S. The last remark was about the admins, not the users — I remember reading a lot of bullshit arguments that is more secure because it obscures the structure… meh

@amiloradovsky Without a proxy or other kind of tunnel, Yes.

Hmm, seems like is a problem for many folks. Okay, I'll buy it (v4), even though that'll rise my hosting costs by factor of 1.5…2. Plus, there may be other applications for a machine connected to both of these networks, let me think…

@amiloradovsky you'll need at least one IPv4 address to reach the greater internet. it's still impossible to be v6 exclusive and reach an appreciable amount of the internet.

but with that one IPv4 address, you can put "enough" native v6/v6-only services behind it.
