@gemlog
Speaking of music, you were talking earlier about someone who was learning a new song, but they never went back to correct wrong notes, they just kept playing.

I was reading a website yesterday that explicitly *encourages* this! "Don't worry if you hit a wrong note, just play". Maybe it's just a new way of teaching, but I don't know how effective it is.

@MutoShack
Well. It had the word 'Guile' in it...

guile, lisp, scheme... all the same to me, so I thought of you! :-)

I was half asleep when I dreamt there was a snake in my room.

I was outta there for a good 20 minutes before remembering "oh yeah, we don't have snakes."

Overall I slept well!

The JavaScript on this website is something I love and hate at the same time.

If you scroll up, it plays a song and music video and it's just ridiculous but satisfying at the same time.

As for the article itself, it's not dangerous, but it's not my cup of tea.

acko.net/blog/on-termkit/

has a *lot* of functions, and is the kind of language I'd usually get mad about, but I actually like it.

Like, 'info texinfo' is one of the few examples of well-written documentation!
I was able to find everything I needed to write and generate my docs in just a few minutes.

It was very nice, and goes to show that good documentation can sometimes totally redeem a bit of bloat.

I'm mumbling about distributing a blog through #syncthing

I'd publish the id of a folder conatining my blog

How crazy is that ?

The Sunday Mail in 2003:

"All my friends are in the ground
Ten thousand hands without a sound"

The Sunday Mail in 2020:

"You can call me Joe lol"

They say "It's like riding a bike - you never forget!"

But *nothing's* coming back to me. It's been fun so far anyway, though!

I took ONE cybersecurity course on Cybrary at the start of the year.

It's July and I'm still getting "Now is your LAST CHANCE to renew your subscription at 90% off!!!" emails.

I unsubscribed today, but it's gonna bug me until I die that this is what their marketing team is doing!

Buncha drunk 15-year-olds pretending to be drunker than they are.

Okay I'll stop complaining and try to sleep.

It's 10PM and my neighbours are playing loud music and making "having fun" noises.

Like, save it for the weekend at least!

Am sad (general)

I'm not the kind of guy who cries, but lately I've just been crying over everything.

I don't know if it's a hormone imbalance, or depression, or if second puberty is kicking in, but there's no reason to be this sad.

Well *no reason* besides the whole "I'm gonna die alone before I accomplish anything" thing, but that's nothing new!

I haven't seen it in ages, and I forgot about it til' now, but gosh darnit Madoka Magica was so good!

I should watch it again.
