So one of my siblings got that "upgrade plan" with their phone & gave me the old one (not so old, Galaxy S5!). I already installed LineageOS on it, but I'm wondering...
Is #Lineage good for privacy at all? I'm not too familiar with the system & I couldn't find a straight answer on the Web.
In the future I'll probably also build a# Replicant port for the S5, but I have no idea how that even works so I'll look into it.

@MutoShack if you avoid GApps (use F-Droid for applications, etc) you'll get less automatic tracking of location and similar intrusions. It's not a silver bullet but it's a move in the right direction.
There are still proprietary parts that Replicant would strip that provide back doors on Samsung devices. The Replicant write up on those are interesting.
